Do you have a few ideas banging around in your head that you need to get out? Have we pissed you off in a previous article and you want to call us out on it? Perhaps you’ve learned something and want to use MiKo as a space to share your wisdom? Or maybe you want to articulate a strong opinion but know you should only do so under the cover of anonymity.
Whatever the case, MiKo is always looking for ambitious writers who can produce well-argued and defended pieces on all things Colombia/Latin America. Anything from politics, culture, society, economics and public life, to philosophical think-pieces, personal experiences, and fiery tirades. We have a special interest in the dark side – stories involving crime, drugs, corruption and/or violence – the kinds of things the English-language press here like to ignore.
There is only one rule: you have something fresh, innovative and intriguing to say, and have the guts and style to say it.
Feel free to submit a completed work or a short pitch, including a paragraph or two summarizing your story and why readers should care. Keep in mind that we only accept original content. We do not publish anything that’s been published elsewhere, including on your blog.
